"These are the appointed times of the LORD, holy convocations which you shall proclaim at the times appointed for them." — Leviticus 23:4
The LORD's Passover. Deliverance from Egypt through the blood of the lamb, and a picture of Messiah, our Passover Lamb (1 Corinthians 5:7).
Seven days without leaven. Removing leaven pictures putting away sin and walking in sincerity and truth (1 Corinthians 5:8).
The waving of the first of the harvest. Messiah is risen, "the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep" (1 Corinthians 15:20).
Fifty days after First Fruits. The giving of the Torah at Sinai, and the outpouring of the Holy Spirit upon the believers.
The day of the blowing of the shofar. A holy convocation and a call to awaken, remember, and prepare to meet the King.
The holiest day of the year. A day to afflict the soul, seek the LORD, and reflect on the atonement provided in Messiah.
Dwelling in booths in remembrance of the wilderness. "The Word became flesh and tabernacled among us." A season of joy.
A solemn assembly on the eighth day, a holy convocation set apart to linger in the presence of the LORD.
The Feast of Dedication, remembering the rededication of the Temple. Yeshua Himself walked in the Temple at this feast.
Celebrating the deliverance of God's people in Persia through Esther and Mordecai. A remembrance of His faithfulness.
Each feast begins at sunset the evening before the date shown and follows the biblical (Hebrew) calendar. Some in the Hebrew Roots community observe the moedim according to the sighted new moon and the aviv barley, which can shift a date by a day or a month. Always confirm locally.
